Lincoln’s Agent: “Inter Are A Giant Team, A Swap Deal Involving Gabigol Would Be Nice For Everyone”

In an exclusive interview with FCInterNews.it, Frederico Pena, the agent of Brazilian wonderkid Lincoln, discussed a possible swap deal involving his client and Inter flop Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa but firstly spoke on the growth Lincoln has experienced as well as problems he’s faced recently.

“He has shown great growth in the past year. Unfortunately, the change of the coach has affected him though. Mauricio Barbieri was the best for him while his replacement Dorival is a coach who does not like playing young players much. Despite this and his lack of action, collecting 26 first team appearances at 17 is important especially in a team like Flamengo.”

Pena then spoke on if he believes his client is ready for a European move and what price clubs will be expected to pay.

“I think he is prepared to make a move to the Old Continent. It is always better for players to move as soon as possible in order to adapt more quickly to the football culture of the elite clubs. He has a €50 million release clause.

Inter are among many sides to have been linked to him and Pena spoke on the Nerazzurri.

“They are a giant team who have two great strikers in Icardi and Lautaro Martinez. They have many other important players, such as my compatriots, like Miranda or Dalbert. Plus Milan is a historic city for Brazilians. Both for Inter and for Milan.”

He concluded the interview by discussing the possibility of a swap deal involving Gabigol.

“It would be a nice option for everyone. Gabigol is a great attacker and would fit the plans of Flamengo, who wants to be the best team in South America. Barbosa unfortunately did not break through with the Nerazzurri, but remains a very strong player.”
