Some time between December and January, Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will join the Inter board of directors according to a report from Sport Mediaset.
As per the report, Marotta will become the club’s new general manager alongside current one Alessandro Antonello, who will retain a key role in the economic management of the club upon Marotta’s entry in to the club.
Juventus yesterday formally announced that Marotta’s contract had been terminated following the shock announcement two months ago that he would be leaving the club. Marotta will pocket a €5.5 million sum from Juventus due to his success at the club over the past eight years that has seen Juventus win seven straight Serie A titles.
Marotta has been very heavily linked with Inter for weeks now and the many other circulating reports follow the same line that it is only a matter of time until he links up with the Nerazzurri.
