Despite strong interest in both Mauro Icardi and Milan Skriniar, Inter’s owners Suning have no intention of allowing either player to leave the club as per a report from Tuttosport.
“Icardi, after having scored 29 goals last season, is already on 8 goals in 11 games this season. He has settled in the national team but is also on Real Madrid’s radar, a team that is desperately looking for a goalscorer. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants a big name and Icardi is on his list together with Tottenham striker Harry Kane and next summer an assault will be made.
“Maurito has already expressed his love for Inter and the goal to play with Inter in the Champions League and with that goal now achieved and he now wants to win something with the club. Icardi is Inter’s captain and he feels like a captain and could look forward to being a “Bandiera” like Javier Zanetti was at the club.
“Now it is up to Inter to make a renewal happen, a discussion that has been open since May this year and is still yet to be concluded. His wife/agent Wanda Nara wants at least €8 million, Inter is willing to offer between €6.3-6.5 million. Both parties express their love for each other but nothing is signed yet.”
The report then goes on to look at Milan Skriniar’s situation.
“His agents want €3.5 million opposed to the €1.2 he is currently earning, Inter is offering €2.5 million. The most probable scenario is that they will meet half-way.”
During the last couple of months, Inter have knocked back offers from both Manchester clubs and Barcelona while Bayern Munich are seemingly ready to make a move of their own but for any negotiations to even take place, the starting bid will have to be no less than €80 million.
