Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke on what gets his team going in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport ahead of tomorrow’s game.
“We are the Anti-Juventus? When you have a story like that and a match like tomorrow’s in front of 70000 people who come to suffocate you with their love, it is clear that those are our references and that we need not look for other stimuli. Our greatest stimulus is our desire to make all Inter fans happy.”
Spalletti was then asked what is required to keep the performance levels up.
“Here we often talk about boys, players and professionals who wear a shirt with beautiful colours. Every time you go on the pitch you have to do the best and bring out the maximum quality we have because we have been chosen by an important club. When three points are at stake we must use all our quality and be professionals.”
Spalletti then spoke on Radja Nainggolan and Lautaro Martinez.
“Radja showed that he was a player with a character reaction, because he trained in just a few days and Dr. Volpi’s medical staff did a great job with him. Tomorrow he is to be evaluated and we have to see what kind of game will come out and keep in mind that we have a strong team with other strong players like him.
“Lautaro can play. He trains well and shows that he has the characteristics for Inter. I have made some evaluations in general and some new players, with respect to those who played in Rome, will come in.”
