Luciano Spalletti has made it clear that he is aware his side are facing a great team tomorrow in Barcelona and stressed that the past two games have been all about correcting the mistakes made in the defeat to the Blaugrana two weeks ago.

“They are the best in the world and it is a game of the highest level of difficulty for us but we have the opportunity to show everyone that we can play against anyone. It is a game that allows us to compare ourselves to the others,” Spalletti said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.

“In the matches after Barcelona we wanted to strengthen the concept of keeping the ball and positioning ourselves in the opponent’s half of the pitch. We want to stay as far as possible from our own box and to do that we need to be a team.

“We must limit the time our opponents are allowed on the ball by bringing continuous pressure where all the players follow the direction of the ball. We must give 100% to beat Barcelona.”
