Prior to his press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League match with Barcelona, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti spoke with Inter TV.
“We need the maximum performance from the team, each one of us must make our individual qualities available to the collective. A single player can not determine the result against a team of Barcelona’s level. It takes everyone to be real leaders and to raise the overall level,” he said.
“We need a lot of leaders to have the conviction to be able to direct the game as we want because Barcelona has 11 more players capable of starting. The team have grown and improved and they all have strong character and they are all completely up for it.”
He concluded the interview by speaking on former loanee Rafinha, who scored in the last meeting between the sides.
“Rafinha will try to make us see that he is a strong player and while we did not take the opportunity to keep him, it was not our choice as it was something that we could not do.”
