Inter legend Luis Suarez has revealed his doubts about the seriousness of Suning’s involvement with Inter in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

“The roots and identity of Inter are getting lost. Suning have come to do their business but they are not interested in football or Inter. We do not know how it will end and I do not know if soon it will be €100 euros for a ticket. Luciano Spalletti has Inter on the right track but Suning’s idea is to attract people who love football to sell their products not those of Inter.

“First an Indonesian [Erick Thohir] arrived, who bought the club at a low price and then sold it on for a good figure and he did not come to the stadium, I just hope that everything is fine.”

Suarez, who was part of the Grande Inter side, then spoke on tomorrow night’s game with Barcelona and Inter’s chances of going all the way in the Champions League.

“There will be a good atmosphere as people are happy, Inter have a good team but not a great team. They can not even think about winning the Champions League, so the hope now is to have a good season in the league and to try to build a competitive team next year.”
