Sandro Tonali has given his preference over where his next move will be amidst a wealth of interest from clubs within Italy and beyond.
“I would prefer to stay in Italy,” the 18-year-old starlet told Rai Sport following Italy and Portugal’s draw in the UEFA Nations League.
Tonali, who has drawn comparisons to Andre Pirlo since his senior debut a year ago, has attracted interest from Inter, Milan, Roma and Juventus from Italy while the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all been quoted as interested in him in the press.
His comments would appear to complicate matters for non-Italian clubs who wish to purchase him but as the famous saying goes, anything can happen in football.
Tonali has a contract with Serie B side Brescia until the end of the 2020/21 season and it is highly unlikely that he will see that out. This campaign he has made 11 appearances at club level, scoring once and tallying four assists.
