Alessandro Bastoni, spoke to the website of respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealing his happiness at playing for Parma and his ambitions to play for parent club Inter in the future.

“I’ve always been very close to Parma because I had the Tardini 15 minutes away from me growing up. I often went to see their matches, I like to think that my arrival at Parma was part of my destiny, I am happy to be here, our goal is to avoid relegation, while my personal goal is to improve and play as much as possible.”

On the topic of the prospect of returning, in the not too distant future, to his parent club Inter he added, “For now I do not think about what they say about me, I’m focused on Parma and logically doing well here I can realise my dream of playing at the San Siro, after all, my dad is a huge fan of Inter and has instilled this culture of Inter in me. We say that playing for Inter is the dream for both of us.”

Bastoni then concluded by revealing his football role model.

“I admire Sergio Ramos so much, he is not the classic defender who just defends and does nothing else but he is very elegant on the ball for example. I aspire to be as good as him even if it is almost impossible to reach his levels.”
