In an interview whilst attending an event at the Ciudad Condal, Rafinha wanted to provide an important clarification on the words from his father-agent Mazinho who has outlined the wish for a new start in January for him.
“I believe the declarations he released the other day were misunderstood. If I am not chosen to start, I am the first one to run the most the following day: this is the teaching he gave me. I only want to make an extra effort, there is a huge competitiveness here and it can happen that I am not called up. My future? I am a Barcelona player and I am completely committed to this club.”
Rafinha returned to Barcelona over the summer after a successful six month loan spell at Inter. It was widely rumoured that Inter wanted to make the loan permanent but were unable to due to Financial Fair Play restrictions.
