Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta could be officially confirmed as an Inter director following Inter’s Champions League match with Tottenham Hotspur next week, this according to a report from ESPN FC.

Marotta recently left his position as chief executive of Juventus and is now set to take up a directorial position of the Nerazzurri.

With his appointment to be made official after the Tottenham Hotspur game next Wednesday, he could well be in place for that weekend’s match away to Roma. Failing that, it could be the case that his first match as part of Inter comes against none other than his former employers.

Marotta was absolutely fundamental in Juventus building themselves back up to the top in recent years and was a big part in them winning the past seven Serie A titles. An experienced man on the transfer market, he managed to sign the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba on free transfers and will be a huge boost to Inter’s management team.
