Steven Zhang, the president of Inter and son of Inter and Suning owner Jindong Zhang, spoke on his desire to build what he describes as a ‘cultural project’ with Italy.
“We believe in Italy and that a cultural bridge between the two countries [Italy and China] is needed. It is impossible to stop globalisation, we must live together and work together for a better quality of life,” he is quoted as saying by Corriere della Sera at the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai.
“The Chinese market has changed profoundly. They are picky, demanding, they want the consumer experience, make astute purchases and they want to be happy. That’s why we believe in Italy too. Making an alliance with your country means having a cultural project.
“You Italians always think about football. The competition gives you hope to do better, to dream of a better life. Also for this reason I like to hire young people.”
