Former Inter Manager Mancini: “I Saw The Zaniolo Incident, VAR Must Almost Always Be Used”

Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini has commented on one of the controversial incidents from Inter’s 2-2 draw with Roma last night.

“I was against the implementation of VAR but I can say now that it certainly helps the referees and it must almost always be used. I saw the penalty incident involving Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo. The referee could have had difficulty seeing it and the technology could have been used calmly so to avoid any controversy.”
