Inter are ‘annoyed and amazed’ with Wanda Nara following her tweet about Mauro Icardi’s proposed contract extension this week, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Icardi scored the only goal on Saturday as the Nerazzurri edged past Udinese at San Siro, putting Luciano Spalletti’s side back on track after a four-game winless run, but talks over a new deal remain at an early stage.

However Wanda posted a tweet earlier this week which suggested an agreement had already been finalised, saying: “It’s 12.30am and I’m still here reading through the details of this new contract.”

Inter believe the tweet was an attempt from Icardi’s wife and agent to force the club’s hand in negotiations, as no deal has been reached yet.

The club did not appreciate the timing of the post either, given they have only just announced Beppe Marotta as their new chief executive officer.

They have made Icardi an offer of €6 million per year in wages and view this figure as non-negotiable, leaving the ball in Wanda’s court.
