Despite his wife and agent saying otherwise, Mauro Icardi has in fact been tabled a renewal offer from Inter according to a report from Sky Sport.
As per the Italian broadcaster, Inter have offered their captain and star man a new deal worth €6 million a season to him, approximately €1.5 million more than the current salary he earns with the club.
The 25-year-old is currently under contract with the Nerazzurri through to the end of the 2020/21 season and reports doing the rounds have suggested that Inter are hoping to tie him down for a further two seasons until the end of the 2022/23 campaign.
Since arriving from Sampdoria in the 2013 summer transfer window, he has went on to make over 200 appearances in the Nerazzurri shirt and is slowly but surely climbing the Inter all-time top goalscorer charts with seventh and sixth place both well within his reach this season.
