West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has spoken on his sides need for reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window during his press conference ahead of the Hammers match with Watford tomorrow.
“I know that we need to replace players that probably will not play much more this season like Andriy Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini so we are calm. We will not decide what we are going to do right now but we will decide,” the Chilean manager said.
The Premier League outfit are reportedly front-runners for Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa’s signature and are understood to already be in talks with the Nerazzurri over a move for the 22-year-old striker. Pellegrini’s willingness to get in reinforcements could bode well for Inter’s attempt to get rid of the Brazilian who ultimately failed to live up to the €30 million they paid for him back in 2016. The two clubs performed business last January involving Joao Mario and this could further help talks along.
