Luciano Spalletti reflected on his side’s 1-0 win over Napoli last night, a result that cut the gap from eight to five points between the two sides.
“I think we were worthy of the three points but Napoli also had a very good game. It was a good match in terms of it being a show and we saw the intentions of the two teams to score. In the first half we did better with thanks to a considerable effort to recover the ball high up through pressing. In terms of character we were not so bad and determined,” he told DAZN.
Spalletti proceeded to discuss Inter match-winner Lautaro Martinez.
“The Argentine is a strong finisher and is a pure attacker and if you put another man up top in the last quarter of an hour, you are going to score goals.”
He concluded with a quick comment on Radja Nainggolan.
“Nainggolan will be training with us again like he has in recent days. His suspension was for a single game only and he is not excluded from the team.”
