Inter have been ordered by the FIGC’s sporting judiciary to play their next two home games behind closed doors and an extra game on top of that with the Curva Nord closed.
During last night’s match at San Siro between Inter and Napoli there were audible racist chants directed at Napoli centre back Kalidou Koulibably while the FIGC’s sporting judiciary also detail that there were offensive chants towards Napoli fans.
San Siro will therefore be closed to all fans for games against Benevento and Sassuolo while the Curva Nord will also miss the game with Bologna and will not be back in the ground until the game with Sampdoria on February 17.
Inter fans will also be prohibited from attending this Saturday’s match away to Empoli with the Azzurri club ordered to not allow sales to Inter fans.
There were suggestions that Serie A could have been suspended to make a point that racist abuse will not be tolerated but it has since been confirmed that this will not happen.
