Politano: “The Redemption Clause Is An Incentive To Always Do Well, Very Happy At Inter But Still Got A Lot To Improve”

Inter winger Matteo Politano has discussed the redemption option that Inter have on him to turn his stay at the club in to a permanent one.

“It is an incentive to always do well and convince the manager and club to keep me to continue this journey. I want to win in this prestigious shirt, keep playing and maybe score a few more goals,” he said in an interview with Sky Sport.

The Italian then spoke on Inter’s capabilities in each of the competitions they are in.

“We are in last sixteen of the Europa League, in the Italian Cup there is a difficult match against Lazio, and in the league we are close to Napoli. We have three important goals and we have to concentrate match after match which is the fundamental thing.”

Politano then went on to reflect on his time so far with the club.

“I have played lots of games and at the beginning of the year I was not expecting a start like that. I am very happy but there’s still a lot to improve upon.”

He then looked ahead to Inter’s next game which comes against Sassuolo.

“They are a strong team and have put the big clubs including Inter in difficulty this season. It will be difficult because we will not have help from our fans.”
