In the past few days a meeting has taken place between Inter management and Wanda Icardi, the wife/agent of Mauro Icardi, over a new contract for Inter’s talisman according to a report from broadcaster Sky Sport.

The next few meetings between the parties will enable them to bridge the gap between supply and demand and the most important thing at the moment is that there is a shared desire to find an agreement.

Negotiations are headed for a happy ending which will ensure the 25-year-old striker remains at the Nerazzurri for at least one more season.

Icardi joined Inter from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria in the Summer transfer window ahead of the 2013/14 season and has since went on to score a very impressive 121 goals in 206 appearances for the club.

This season he has found the back of the net on 14 occasions and also tallied three assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.
