Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta stopped by Rai Sport moments before kick-off in the Coppa Italia quarterfinal clash against Lazio at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.
Marotta was asked about the rumors stating that former Juventus and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is on his way to take over at the club this summer, rumors which were fueled after Conte was spotted in central Miliano outside of Inter’s offices.
“Milano is a big city aside from being a beautiful one, and so I think it is perfectly fine that a citizen like him can go for a walk in the centre of the city.”
“We have Spalletti who is doing really well, we are third in the league, and we are in the Coppa Italia and the Europa League. The club has full confidence in him” Marotta concluded.
Marotta hired Antonio Conte as the manager of Juventus 7,5 years ago.
