Inter President Zhang Returns Early

Inter president Steven Zhang returned earlier than expected from his business in order to be at this afternoon’s game with SPAL at San Siro.

Zhang has been conducting business in his native China but is big on celebrating tradition and wished to return to take part in Inter’s 111th birthday celebrations that will take place at the stadium today with over 60,000 to attend.

Last night he dined with the rest of the Inter management, the team and all the rest of the staff at the team hotel and attempted to inspire the team in view of a difficult run of fixtures.

Starting with SPAL today, Inter will then play Eintracht Frankfurt at home on Thursday in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie, then the Milan derby before playing Lazio at home immediately after the international break. Technically speaking, Inter’s next four games are all at home, even if they are the ‘away’ side for the derby this time round.
