Inter president Steven Zhang is back in Italy ahead of schedule and will be in attendance today as Inter take on SPAL at San Siro this afternoon according to Corriere della Sera.

After the match is over, he will be completely focused on resolving the saga between the club and Mauro Icardi and will soon meet with the Argentine and his wife/agent Wanda Nara.

There will not be a meeting directly after today’s match but any day from tomorrow could be the day for the meeting to take place that may or may not put an end to this situation.

The report goes on to state that Icardi has longed for a conversation with Zhang and will ask him one question: “Why am I no longer the captain of Inter?”

Icardi was stripped of the Inter captaincy last month and has not played in the time since citing pain in his knee as his reason behind sitting out.
