Corriere dello Sport believe that Ivan Perisic will start this afternoon’s match against SPAL at San Siro on the bench.

The Croatian winger was forced off the field on Thursday during Inter’s first leg round of 16 Europa League tie with Eintracht Frankfurt and there were fears that he would miss the game but the fact he was called-up for the game suggests that the problem may not be as bad as first thought.

The report continues that while he trained yesterday and did not get tested to check his condition – which would suggest he is fine in a sense – Inter have decided only to use him in case of necessity.

Keita Balde will also make a return to action today but will do so from the bench. The Senegalese winger is back after a long injury lay-off and should get 20 or so minutes at the end of the game in view of starting in Thursday’s second leg match with Eintracht Frankfurt.
