Borja Valero has revealed where he feels things went wrong for Inter in the 1-0 defeat to Lazio and has looked ahead to Inter’s remaining matches.

“Today there was a lack of clarity in the final third. It’s a pity about the result because we could have created a great advantage over the other teams with a win,” he told Inter TV.

He progressed by discussing his position change throughout the match.

“In the beginning I started very high up the pitch, just as we had prepared based on the position of their midfielders. In the second half, instead, I dropped myself deeper and closer to Brozovic and we were often able to send Perisic through to cross the ball.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s upcoming matches.

“Now we have many very important matches coming up, even some direct matches. We hope to put things right immediately with the match against Genoa on Wednesday which can act as even more of a stimulus for us for the Atalanta game.”
