By the middle of this week, Lautaro Martinez’s condition will once again be evaluated according to a report from Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The Argentine forward picked up an injury on international duty last week and as a result he was forced to miss last night’s 1-0 loss at home to Lazio as a result. He did however eat with the team prior to the game and took the game in from the stands, something the team appreciated.

Moreover, the 21-year-old is expected to miss Wednesday night’s trip away to Genoa.

Tuttosport’s report details that these upcoming tests will determine whether or not he will be able to recover in time for Inter’s match at home to Atalanta on April 7.

If he does not return against the Bergamo club he almost certainly will the following week as Inter take lowly Frosinone.

In his debut campaign at Inter, Lautaro Martinez has put together 29 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored nine goals and tallied two assists in 1475 minutes on the park.
