In an interview with Argentine television show El Insoportable, Wanda Icardi, the wife, and agent, of Inter striker Mauro Icardi insisted that it is up to him when it comes to making a decision on his future at the club.

She firstly began the interview by clarifying her role.

“I work for Mauro and also for my family. I am the manager.”

She was then asked about her husband’s future at the club to which she responded: “The choice is up to him, he still has two years left on his contract with Inter. I am just there to give him some advice.”

The 26-year-old Argentine forward’s future at the club is reportedly up in the air following the recent off-field controversy between himself and the club.

This season he has made 33 appearances across all competitions. He has netted 16 goals and has also managed to provide five assists for teammates.
