Inter have no less than six players one booking away from an automatic suspension heading into this weekend’s match away to Udinese, FCInterNews.it have highlighted.
Defenders Milan Skriniar and Danilo D’Ambrosio, midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Roberto Gagliardini and attackers Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano are all at risk of missing the game with already relegated Chievo Verona on May 13.
Losing any player to suspension for the Chievo Verona game would certainly be far less of a blow to the team opposed to if a player was to pick up that final yellow card against the Gialloblu as it would mean they would be suspended for the game away to Napoli – which, although highly unlikely, could see Inter overtake the Partenopei to go second.
In order for Inter to go above Napoli, Napoli would have to lose both of their next two games whilst Inter win both of theirs which would mean just two points would separate the clubs going into the game. Should Inter then beat Napoli, they would go a point clear with one game to play.
