As per a report from TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter still have some work to do in their attempts to sign Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella.
Inter’s last offer, which dates back to a few days ago, consisted of €33 million and Cagliari were given a choice of four players, two of which they could chose to have as part of the deal. Those players were Lorenzo Gavioli, Davide Merola, Facundo Colidio and Marco Pompetti.
Cagliari president Tomasso Giullini continues to demand at least €40 million in cash but TuttoMercatoWeb claim that the clubs could strike a deal around the €37 million mark.
The report goes on to state that Inter and the 22-year-old midfielder have already agreed terms over a five year contract that would run until the end of the 2023/24 season with an annual salary of €2.5 million.
During the 2018/19 season Barella made 38 appearances across all competitions for the Sardinia based outfit. In almost 3400 minutes, he scored once and tallied four assists.
