Just like at Juventus when he had the formidable BBC defensive trio of Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini, incoming Inter manager Antonio Conte will be arriving to a similarly formidable defence at the Nerazzurri in the shape of Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij and Diego Godin, a report from Corriere dello Sport details.

“If the defence of Juventus was all Italian, the defence of Inter 2019-20 will all be foreigners apart from Andrea Ranocchia, who worked with Conte at both Arezzo and Bari,” the report begins.

“At Inter Conte will change the game system compared to what the Nerazzurri have used in the two years with Spalletti (4-2-3-1).”

The report from the Rome based newspaper then goes on to state that Inter’s defence is better than when Conte arrived at Juventus.

“Inter’s base will be more solid because in the 2018/19 season Inter conceded just 34 goals while Juventus conceded 47 in the 2010/11 season.
