Corriere dello Sport have confirmed that Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali will be joining Inter but it remains to be seen what this means now Italy will be without him.
Oriali will be linking up once again for Antonio Conte, who he worked with for the national team, and will serve Inter in the role of team manager wherein he will act as a link between the team and the management team.
In the coming hours, the details of his Inter contract will be defined and he will thus vacate his position at the Azzurri.
The report from the Rome based newspaper suggest that Gianluca Vialli could well be drafted in to replace Oriali, who spent 13 years on Inter’s books as a player between 1970-1983.
Italian football federation president Gabriele Gravina has met with former Sampdoria star Vialli in recent months to discuss the possibility of taking on a role within the national team set-up.
