Perisic Could Be Re-Invented Under Conte’s Stewardship At Inter

Antonio Conte is seemingly intent on re-inventing Inter winger Ivan Perisic by deploying him in a new role next season according to a report from Tuttosport.

Conte will deploy Inter in a 3-5-2 system in the upcoming 2019/20 season and could utilise Perisic not as an out and out winger but rather a wing back on the left hand side of the pitch.

Rumours about Perisic’s uncertain future with the club persist but the Turin based newspaper are convinced that if Conte’s plans work, Perisic could feel like a new signing to the Nerazzurri, where he has played his club football since 2015.

It has been strongly speculated that the Croatian international could be used as a counterpart in a player plus cash deal with Manchester United that would see powerful Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku head to Inter.

After a slow start in the 2018/19 season, Perisic finished the campaign with nine goals and eight assists to his name in 45 appearances.
