Antonio Conte: “Madrid 2010? It’s Time For Inter To Create New Memories”

Antonio Conte has urged his new Inter players to help him create fresh memories for supporters after becoming the club’s new head coach.

Conte was officially unveiled as Luciano Spalletti’s replacement on Friday morning and is in Madrid ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League final, which he will attend with the Nerazzurri’s management.

Reporters intercepted the Italian outside his hotel and asked him if it was a coincidence Inter’s new era was beginning in Madrid, where the club secured their treble in 2010.

“There are good memories for Inter here,” he said.

“The important thing is to be prepared to refresh them. Inter needs to return to its former glories.”

Conte was also asked to find an adjective for the side he wishes to build in Milan, after a video on Inter’s Twitter feed showed him telling Steven Zhang he did not want the club to be ‘pazza’ anymore.

“Our team will be normal and strong,” he assured.

“My first day at Inter is going very well, it’s a lovely sunny day.”
