Conte Arrives In Spain With Inter Management Ahead Of Champions League Final

Antonio Conte has arrived in Madrid where he will attend Saturday’s Champions League final as Inter’s new head coach.

Conte was officially unveiled as Luciano Spalletti’s replacement early this morning and flew to the Spanish capital alongside Beppe Marotta, Piero Ausilio, Alessandro Antonello and Dario Baccin, who were caught on video together by Sky Sport’s cameras in Milan.

The Italian will spend the weekend with his new colleagues and could hold his first meeting with Suning owner Zhang Jindong before tomorrow’s match.

Tottenham will play Liverpool at the Stadio Wanda Metropolitano after the sides overcame Ajax and Barcelona respectively in the semi-finals at the start of May.

Conte has signed a three-year contract at Inter with an annual salary reported to be in the region of €9 million plus bonuses.

The former Juventus, Italy and Chelsea boss told the BBC this morning he chose Inter because of the club’s ambition to win trophies.
