Juventus Fans Ask Club To Remove New Inter Boss Conte’s Star From Their Stadium

A group of angry Juventus supporters has created an online petition asking for the Bianconeri to remove Antonio Conte’s star from the club’s stadium.

Conte was officially unveiled as Inter’s new head coach on a three-year deal this morning, replacing Luciano Spalletti after he was sacked yesterday.

The Italian won eight league titles with Juventus as a player and coach and has been accused of ‘trampling on his own dignity’ by joining their fiercest rival.

188 Juventus fans have signed the petition on change.org, which was first published yesterday.

“Antonio Conte was a much-loved captain who always played with his heart,” the description beneath the petition read.

“His arrival at Inter, however, will be an indelible watershed in the way I view him.

“If Jose Mourinho joined Juventus it would not be an offence against Interisti – just like Maurizio Sarri wouldn’t be offending Napoli fans if he went there – because all the things they have said about Juventus are the things you say when you’re rivals in football.

“Conte’s move to Inter, however, is completely different, because within that club there are people like Javier Zanetti and Marco Tronchetti Provera who have accused Juventus of stealing league titles from them, in a period where Conte was playing for Juventus.

“By joining Inter he is joining a club which has tried to ANNIHILATE us and discredit a history which Conte himself was part of.

“Moving to Inter isn’t a professional decision, like it would have been to join Milan, Napoli or Roma. Moving to Inter means trampling over your own dignity.”
