New Inter Boss Antonio Conte Wants To Beat Juventus To Chiesa Signing

New Inter boss Antonio Conte wants to beat his former club Juventus to the signing of Fiorentina star Federico Chiesa, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Chiesa is ready to leave Florence after three seasons in the first team as the Della Valle brothers prepare to sell the club to American billionaire Rocco Commisso.

Commisso would be reluctant to part company with Chiesa so soon after taking over the Viola, amid fears it would turn supporters against him immediately.

However, Inter will attempt to secure the forward regardless and could offer to include Yann Karamoh as part of the deal.

“Roberto Gagliardini was linked to with a move Fiorentina in the past, but he won’t be allowed to leave this summer because Conte likes him a lot,” Tuttosport reported today.

“If they offer a second player alongside Karamoh it would probably be a player from the Primavera, but Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio will not allow Sebastiano Esposito to leave the club on a permanent basis.”

Inter will play Juventus in a preseason friendly in China on 24 July but they could lock horns in the transfer window before then, if the Bianconeri continue to follow Chiesa with interest.

“Juventus have more attractive players to offer as makeweights in a deal for Chiesa, but Inter won’t give up easily,” the paper concluded.
