Inter president Steven Zhang invited new Nerazzurri boss Antonio Conte to ‘make history together’ following his appointment as the club’s new head coach today.

Conte was officially unveiled as Luciano Spalletti’s replacement on a three-year deal this morning and will attend Saturday’s Champions League final with the rest of Inter’s management.

Speaking to Inter TV, Zhang revealed his pride and excitement at appointing a coach Inter had already courted heavily back in 2017.

“We’ve finally managed to bring Antonio Conte to Inter and I’m very happy to see him sat alongside me,” he said.

“There’s a relationship full of confidence and respect between Conte and the club because he believes in our project. We know his history and we know about his winning mentality.

“He’s definitely the kind of coach we want to move our project forward and take the club back to where they deserve to be.

“We want to win titles and we want to offer our supporters the best experience possible following this team.”
