Inter have set their sights on signing Roma defender Aleksandar Kolarov according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter are already in talks with the Giallorossi over Edin Dzeko, who appears almost certain to join Inter in this Summer’s transfer window, and Kolarov’s name could well be brought up in the conversation between the two clubs.

Kolarov, like his close friend Dzeko, also has a contract expiring at the end of the 2019/20 season and he could play in the back three or as part of the midfield five in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system at Inter.

The 33-year-old, who has 82 caps for the Serbian national team, has been in the Italian capital since 2017 and has went on to make 90 appearances to date for the club.

During the 2018/19, the set-piece specialist made 43 appearances across all competitions. In 3747 minutes on the field, the former Manchester City player scored nine times and assisted two goals.
