Gabriele Oriali will certainly return to Inter over the Summer but will not arrive before Italy’s upcoming UEFA Nation’s League games have happened according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
Italy are due to face Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the next nine days and the Milan based newspaper state that Oriali will therefore not be formally announced at Inter until at least June 13.
Oriali, who spent 13 years of his playing career at Inter, will be returning to the club to serve in the role as team manager. His return to the club will also allow him to work with Antonio Conte once more after the pair worked together for the Azzurri.
With Oriali leaving his position in the national team, which is largely similar to what he will be doing at Inter, the Italian football federation are looking to replace him with former Sampdoria star Gianluca Vialli.
