Inter Striker Icardi Has ‘Promised Himself’ To Juventus Amid Dybala Swap Rumours

Mauro Icardi has ‘promised himself’ to Juventus and is not interested in moving anywhere else should he be forced out of Inter, according to La Repubblica.

Inter would like to sell Icardi to the Bianconeri in a swap deal with Paulo Dybala before 30 June so they can record a capital gain to balance their books.

Dybala remains unenthusiastic at the idea, though, leaving for a complex state of affairs which is unlikely to be resolved quickly.

“Inter have offered Icardi to Roma, asking for Nicolo Zaniolo in return, and they’ve offered him to Napoli too,” La Repubblica revealed this morning.

“Icardi only has one idea in his head, though, and that’s Juventus. Be it now or in the future, even if it means having to wait.”

The 26-year-old could wait until his contract expires in 2021 and join the Old Lady on a free transfer, a scenario Inter would do anything to avoid for both technical and financial reasons.

Beppe Marotta’s quest to bring Dybala to San Siro remains arduous, however, with the forward more tempted by a move to Atletico Madrid.

“Dybala told Juve’s sporting director Fabio Paratici he wanted to stay at the end of last season,” the paper continued.

“Inter have never made an official offer to him so he has never said no to them, but at the moment it’s not an idea that excites him.”
