Inter striker Andrea Pinamonti could play on loan at newly-promoted Serie A side Lecce next season, according to Sky Sport.

The clubs met in Milan on Thursday and the Giallorossi made a request for the 20-year-old, who was linked with Benfica and Porto earlier today.

The TV station did not specify how Inter responded to the offer but it is known the Nerazzurri do not want to sell Pinamonti on a permanent deal.

If Pinamonti moved to Lecce it would see him play on loan for a newly-promoted outfit for the second season running, having scored five goals in 27 appearances for Frosinone last year.

The striker was due to take part in the UEFA European Under-21 Championships this month after being called up to Gigi Di Biagio’s 23-man Italy squad.

However, Pinamonti was forced to withdraw from the Azzurrini’s training camp after sustaining a knee injury during the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Poland.
