Higuain-Manolas Swap Could Pave Way For Inter Striker Icardi To Join Juventus

Inter could receive a boost in their bid to sell Mauro Icardi to Juventus if the Bianconeri swapped Gonzalo Higuain for Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici is on good terms with Icardi and his wife and agent Wanda Nara but cannot step up his pursuit until the club get rid of Higuain.

A swap deal with Roma for Manolas would leave a gap up front which the Old Lady could sign Icardi to fill.

“If Roma really did make a move for Higuain it’s clear both Juventus and Inter’s transfer plans would be shaken,” Gazzetta reported.

“Having said that, everything would still depend on Dybala agreeing to leave Juventus.

“La Joya has so far dampened Inter’s enthusiasm to sign him, but he has a great relationship with Beppe Marotta and it would be wrong to say he has vetoed a move there.”
