Inter would prefer to send striker Andrea Pinamonti on loan to another club next season rather than selling the player on a permanent deal, Sky Sport confirmed tonight.
The TV station last night reported newly-promoted side Lecce were interested in signing the 20-year-old for the 2019-20 season and reiterated their approach this evening.
Inter have yet to respond to the Giallorossi’s request but it is widely known they would prefer a loan move than to sell Pinamonti permanently.
The Nerazzurri do not want to lose control of the striker and risk a repeat of the mistake they made last summer with midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
If Pinamonti moved to Lecce it would be the second consecutive season he played for a newly-promoted club, having scored five goals in 27 appearances for Frosinone last year.
Inter would only sell him outright if they could assure themselves a buy-back option, although Lecce’s interest regards a loan deal.
