Inter welcomed Atalanta’s chief executive Luca Percassi to their new offices earlier today, but no transfer talks are imminent between the clubs.
Sky Sport reported the visit and described it as an opportunity for the clubs to ‘reinforce’ their healthy relationship, which has produced numerous deals since Suning joined the Nerazzurri in 2016.
Beppe Marotta received Percassi at Inter’s new headquarters on Viale della Liberazione, taking a brief break from his transfer dealings.
The TV station did not exclude negotiations for players between Inter and Atalanta but assured nothing was on the agenda yet.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side finished level on points with Inter last season but took third place courtesy of their superior head-to-head record.
The Bergamaschi won 4-1 at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in November before securing a goalless draw in the return fixture.
Both clubs secured qualification for next season’s Champions League on the final day of the campaign, pipping Milan to a top-four finish by one point.
