Inter Must Sell Mauro Icardi In Order To Sign Romelu Lukaku

Inter’s ill-fated pursuit of Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku was again outlined by Tuttosport this morning.

Lukaku wants to leave United and has picked the Nerazzurri as his next destination, after Antonio Conte made an express request to sign the Belgian this summer.

The Premier League outfit still want €70 million for the forward, however, meaning Inter must sell Icardi first to stand a chance.

“If Icardi doesn’t leave it’s almost impossible Inter will manage to get their hands on Lukaku,” the paper reported.

Icardi remains determined to stay at Inter despite all evidence suggesting the forward has no future at the club.

The forward is on holiday with wife and agent Wanda Nara at the moment but it seems neither have any intention of moving elsewhere.

Conte is likely to start preseason training with Maurito still in the squad and will have an uncomfortable situation to manage as the 2019-20 season beckons.
