Inter Forward Esposito: “Very Happy To Continue My Nerazzurri Adventure”

Sebastiano Esposito today revealed his delight at being part of Inter’s first-team squad for preseason training.

The 16-year-old shone across various age categories for the Nerazzurri last year, scoring a hat-trick in the under-17 league final and making his senior debut under Luciano Spalletti in the Europa League.

Esposito described his ascent through Inter’s ranks as ‘an adventure’ and said he hoped to make his Serie A debut under Antonio Conte.

“I’m extremely happy to be wearing Inter’s shirt and training with the first team,” the forward told Inter TV, having signed a new three-year deal last week.

“I want to continue like this, keeping my feet on the ground and staying humble.”

Esposito confirmed Conte is asking a lot from his players during their Swiss training camp, even from the youngsters who have been promoted from the Primavera.

“We’re all happy to be working with Conte,” the Italian added.

“He wants 110% commitment but we’re used to working hard. I like sacrificing myself for the good of the team.

“We need to work like he’s asking us to do and help ensure the group is united. We’re managing it well at the moment.”
