Inter Legend Zenga Wants Summer Transfer Window To Shut Earlier

Inter’s former goalkeeper Walter Zenga today encouraged Serie A to make their summer transfer window shorter again.

Italy’s market closed before the season started last summer in an attempt to avoid unnecessary distractions once teams began playing.

However, the Lega Calcio performed a U-turn this year and extended it again, meaning it will shut on 2 September.

Zenga shared a column written by Paolo Condò in Wednesday’s Gazzetta dello Sport, describing the transfer window as ‘an enemy of attractive football’, and asked his Instagram followers for their opinions.

Sempre piacevole leggere una firma eccellente come #paolocondò .. sono d’accordo con lui e con quello che scrive.. A mio parere il mercato “ dovrebbe” chiudere prima dell’inizio del campionato.. voi che ne pensate??? …..Always nice to read an excellent signature like #paolocondo, I agree with him and what he writes… Does the market should shut down before the start of the season, what do you think about??? @gazzettadellosport @seriea @uefa_official @uefacom @legab @inter #passione #opinioni #football #lovemyjob #insta #coach #newspaper
