Javier Zanetti: “Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Has A Very Bright Future Ahead”

Inter’s vice-president Javier Zanetti today lauded Lautaro Martinez for his performances with Argentina at the Copa America.

El Toro scored twice for the Albiceleste as they finished third in last month’s tournament, losing out to Brazil in a controversial semi-final.

Zanetti helped Inter sign Lautaro from Racing Avellaneda in 2018 and was full of praise for the youngster.

“I liked how he played at the Copa America,” Pupi told Fox Sports.

“We mustn’t forget Lautaro is only 21 and he has a very bright future ahead of him.”

Lautaro scored nine goals in his debut season with Inter and is likely to be an important player up front for new head coach Antonio Conte.

The striker will not begin training with the Nerazzurri until the end of July, though, having only finished his international duties last weekend.

He is expected to make his debut in Inter’s final preseason friendly against Valencia on 10 August.
