Conte Will Not Speak At Inter’s Press Conference Before Lugano Friendly

Antonio Conte will not attend Inter’s pre-match press conference on Saturday before their friendly against Lugano, according to FcInterNews.it.

The Nerazzurri are due to make the first official outing under their new head coach at 5.30pm local time on Sunday, marking the end of a one-week training camp.

Inter’s captain Samir Handanovic will be joined by his Lugano counterpart Jonathan Sabbatini in the press conference, scheduled for 11.30am on Saturday.

Beppe Marotta will also speak briefly along with the Swiss club’s president Angelo Renzetti.

Conte has restricted access to supporters and the media this week in a bid to avoid all distractions on the training ground.

Inter will fly to Asia next week where they face Manchester United, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain in prestigious friendly matches.

Tottenham and Valencia then provide the Nerazzurri’s final opposition upon their return to Europe, with the 2019-20 Serie A campaign set to begin on 24 August.
