Inter & AC Milan’s New Stadium Will Have 12,000 Corporate Seats

Inter and Milan’s new stadium will feature 12,000 corporate seats in a bid to boost the clubs’ revenue, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

San Siro in its current guise boasts just 3,000 seats and the Nerazzurri and Rossoneri see this as a barrier to competing with Europe’s top clubs.

Tottenham’s new €1.2 billion stadium, which Inter helped inaugurate with a Legends match in March, has been used as their model in terms of VIP and hospitality.

The new multifunctional district the clubs want to build around San Siro, meanwhile, was inspired by the entertainment zone outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where the Lakers and Clippers play their NBA fixtures.

Inter and Milan hope the new stadium can be finished in time to host the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The plan is to spend 36 months building the new ground before knocking down the old venue in another 36-month period.

Both clubs will continue playing at the existing San Siro while the new one is being created, ensuring neither team has to move elsewhere to play home fixtures.

€80 million will be spent on new public infrastructure as part of the renovation work.
